There are many benefits that we can obtain from seawater, such as the contribution of sulphur and calcium (beneficial for bones), or potassium, silica and iodine, among others, acting as a natural alkalinizer of our organism. Seawater can be considered as an isotonic drink for sportsmen and women, provided that it has been previously diluted with mineral water. Many cooking experts recommend the use of seawater for cooking as a substitute for common salt, as it is already diluted in water and allows cold cooking without any solid salt residue. It is highly recommended for cooking stews or cold soups.
